Edwardian ladies' hats are some of the biggest, most extravagant ever made. The early 20th Century style for giant feathers on these hats brought an extreme demand for feathers, and sometimes entire birds to trim them. I'll show some great memes from the time, and talk about the Great Hatpin Peril. Let's also learn about the women who helped save the birds, create the fist National Wildlife Refuge, and the Audubon Society.
