It would be a sewing 101, This is for those who always wanted to sew but never knew where to start. It would involve lots of tips, tricks, and basics. Info on types and weights of fabrics, what each is good for, and where to look for fabric. What tools and equipment do you need? Where to find patterns and how to deal with the different types. Problem-solving of attendees' projects.

Locks are simple machines that haven’t changed much in the last 200 years. Join us for a hands-on introduction to lockpicking, learn to pick your first lock, and practice on everything from tiny suitcase locks to a 5 pin Shlage. We have plenty of tools available for use during the workshop, Fee is $20 - Drop in at anytime, stay as long as you like.

Paper casting Your Gears

Using paper made from such unlikely contents as bamboo or wheat straw, we will make several castings of a selection of gears..
While your castings are drying, you will complete a dazzling ATC or card using a variety of embellishments.

Island living got your hair all messy and you need something new to wear to the tiki bar? Then come learn how to make a beautiful hair decoration. Basic hand sewing skill needed using Kanzashi techniques. This is a workshop BEFORE the ball, so you may wear it in the evening.

Secret Pirate or Mermaid Journal

This is for the kids. They will be able to decorate their own secret journal and make a secret code to go with. The journal will come with a secret writing pen and bag. There will be no cost. Limit of 24.

Making a Jar of Dirt: Spell Jar make and take
Jenn Dunigan
Much like a favorite, beloved pirate, if you believe your “jar of dirt” helps, then it helps. Join maker and eclectic witch Jenn Dunigan of Archimedes Azure Creations, as she guides you to set an intention, and build your own “jar of dirt” or spell jar. Jenn will provide mini jars, corks, and a variety of fillers, but feel free to bring your own dried herbs, stone chips, or other ingredients to add to your mini jar.
Cost is $15 per person, or $20 for an adult and child to each make their own jars. Jars will be sealed, if you wish, with glitter hot glue, hence the need for parental supervision for children. Additional spell jars can be purchased at the panel, $5 each.

Celebrate Edison's transformative technology in your steampunk home with a custom light switch cover. Use simple decoupage methods to adhere an undersea steampunk scene, then enhance with a gear or two! $5 per light switch cover. Ages 6 and up.

Leather Gear Medallion Workshop

The workshop gives you some experience in basic leather working. You get a 2 1/2" leather gear that you will decorate by stamping images, adding a concho ($5 additional), and/or color that you can turn into a pin or medallion or whatever your imagination envisions. Cost is $5 and all tools and supplies are provided.

Drink Up Me Hearties Yo Ho

Looking for a stylish new way to drink? Look no further! In this make and take, we will be assembling a foam mug or drinking horn to hold your disposable drinking apparatus. Pieces will be pre-cut to speed assembly and there will be many options for customization. Kids welcome, but kids under 13 need to have parental supervision as we will be using hot glue and cutting implements. Cap of 20 People / $12 per person
