Crazy Quilting 101 or make a piece of the Patchwork Girl, $10 Fee

Dr. Pipt and Margolotte. made "Scraps", "the Patchwork Girl" from an old crazy quilt they had stored in a trunk. In our class we will explain a little bit about the history of crazy quilting, how to piece together your fabrics, and how to do 4 or 5 common embroidery stitches used in crazy quilting. You should leave the class with a 6" embroidery hoop containing pieced fabrics and, hopefully, a few embroidery stitches. All tools required will be available in class. The kit fee, which includes a hoop, an instruction booklet and all required materials, will be $10. Children under 12 should be accompanied by a parent as we will be using sharp pointy things. Class size is limited to 24 participants.
