Writing Victorian Gothic Fiction: Tropes and Themes of the Genre

Learn what common tropes and underlying themes exist in Victorian gothic literature, and how you can use those tropes and themes in your own writing or character backstories. Knowledge gained during a year of study in Scotland will be supplemented with examples from ‘Letters to Serafina’, an anthology of letters set in the late 1800s, and its accompanying gothic novel ‘My Dear Serafina’.
