Beading a scarab

Lisa Ashton
Learn peyote beading to affix a cabochon scarab (flat underside) to a stiff wool felt surface. This technique uses #11 seed beads for a base row and then smaller #15 beads to build up a “wall” of woven beads to hold the scarab in place to create a pendant, brooch or bracelet with additional beading. It’s a great way to make decorative elements for costumes, hats, or other artifacts. $15 FEE per person (Extended class so you have time to finish the project)
